How to use ftpproxy in a script

Hello,
We have a vendor who doesn't use sftp so we have to setup a ftp connection and encrypt the file. At the command prompt on a unix server I can type the following, ftp ftpproxy <enter>; userid@host <enter>; password <enter> and I'm connected. How can I add this to a script?

Thanks

Jean
